The USPHS Commissioned Corps is committed to our mission to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of the nation. Public Health Service officers are trained and equipped to provide crucial public health leadership, assist with policy development, advance innovation and science, provide essential care services and respond to national and global public health emergencies. Through our Active Duty Regular Corps, our Public Health Response Strike Team (PHERST) and our Ready Reserve Corps, we remain responsive and available to rapidly deploy in the service of health.

Submitting Your Immunizations
Immunization Guidelines
USPHS Commissioned Corps Required Vaccines
Routine Vaccines for All Officers:
- Influenza: 1 dose annually during your geographic location's flu season. If you received the vaccine in the Southern Hemisphere, indicate the location.
- Tetanus: 1 dose every 10 years or as clinically indicated.
Vaccines for Newly Commissioned Officers:
- Hepatitis A: 2 or 3 doses, depending on the vaccine type.
- Hepatitis B: 2 or 3 doses, depending on the vaccine type.
- MMR: 2 doses.
- Varicella: 2 doses.
- Tuberculosis Screening: New Officers are required to upload QuantiFERON test results within 12 months of being called to active duty.
- As needed, screenings should be completed based on the recommendations of your duty station or deployment team.
- Positive titer documentation is acceptable in place of vaccination records if all doses were received but records cannot be located.
MAB encourages officers to follow CDC recommendations for all other vaccines. Additional information on adult vaccines can be found on the CDC’s website: CDC's Vaccine Schedule.
How to Submit Your Immunizations
- Access eDOC-U through the Officer Secure Area (OSA).
- Select the following:
- Document Category: "Medical"
- Document Type: "Immunizations"
- Vaccine Type: Select "Influenza" or "Other" as applicable.
Email Confirmation: After submission, you will receive an email confirming whether your immunizations have been successfully processed. You can verify your status by checking the "Medical Readiness" section of your OSA Dashboard. In case your upload is rejected, you will also receive an email notification.
Recommendations: MAB maintains electronic copies of all immunization documents. It is recommended that you retain a personal copy of your immunization records and the eDOC-U upload confirmation email for future reference.
Most Common Causes for Document Rejection
- Missing or partial name / SERNO
- Missing Vaccine Date
- Vaccine Series all have the same date
- Titers are non-reactive or negative
